Miami Art Week | Library of Us by Es Delvin at Faena Beach

ree

At the center of the presentation is Library of Us, a 50-foot rotating triangular bookshelf set within a reflecting pool on Faena Beach. Housing 2,500 books that have shaped Devlin’s practice, the sculpture invites visitors to sit at a circular reading table, explore annotated volumes and experience the work as its mirrored surface turns slowly beneath the open sky.

Inside the Cathedral, Reading Room extends this meditative environment through a 46-foot bench that merges bookshelf, LED display and sound. Featuring texts contributed by hotel staff and recorded readings by the artist, the installation offers a quiet space to listen, observe and engage throughout the day.

In the Faena Art Project Room, Tracing Time presents drawings and paintings across glass, paper and TV screens, bringing Devlin’s interest in light, gesture and perceptual shifts into an intimate indoor setting. Ray-Ban Meta’s translation technology enhances these installations with on-site demonstrations designed to expand accessibility and visitor interaction. Photos by Isis Swaby
