About the Exhibition

Phenomenology, Be Easy is about being a person in all this. After everything we’ve seen, everything we’ve been asked to carry. The work is here to sit with it. To soften. To pause. To exist without trying to make sense of it all. Just be. Be easy.

About Quiana Parks

Quiana Parks is a multidisciplinary artist and DJ whose work moves like a sermon—bold, soulful, and rooted in legacy. Jamaican American, Quiana’s story spans generations: the granddaughter of ministers, a cancer survivor, and a creative force who learned early how to turn pain into praise.

Her presence behind the DJ booth mirrors the pulpit she grew up around—commanding, connective, and spiritually charged—yet infused with a youthful, joyful energy that is unmistakably her own.

Quiana transforms every room she touches. Her sets blend open format, house, hip hop, Jersey club, and timeless classics, creating an atmosphere that feels both sacred and electric.

As a visual artist, Quiana works across oil paint, charcoal, wood, and handmade dolls, crafting pieces that honor culture, womanhood, resilience, and memory. Her artwork has been championed by cultural icons and brought to life inside the Brooklyn Museum, further cementing her place as a rising creative voice.

Above all, for Quiana, storytelling isn’t a medium; it’s a calling—her work leaves an imprint that can’t be unseen, unheard, or forgotten.
