The Jamaica, Rise! Holiday Market had a slower crowd due to the cold winter night, but the event still showcased a strong lineup of creative and talented vendors.
Despite lighter foot traffic, some sales were made, contributing to a meaningful cause. Fifty percent of art print sales, along with 15% of any vendor sales, will be donated to Food For the Poor Jamaica, helping support communities in need. Even on a quiet evening, the market highlighted the power of creativity and giving back during the holiday season. Thank you, vendors and our host, Brooklyn Blooms, for bringing the community together to support relief efforts for Hurricane Melissa, with proceeds benefiting Food for the Poor Jamaica.
Participating vendors were TheCariNew.Com, Konjo Crochet, Rockers International Records, Knife (handmade Toys and crafts), and Swaby Projects. As well, as the patrons who helped make this happen short notice and will be doing another holiday market in February for Black History Month, highlighting more independent, small business and creative vendors.
